Bean Wars Global Game Jam 2024 Entry

Short tug of war game.
Build beans, fight beans.
Mouse to edge to scroll left and right

left mouse button to click on buttons (the white bar in game is a button too)

Right mouse button and edge scroll to go faster.

No audio or animations, ran out of time :(


Solo project, started on Friday evening, and went through to Sunday. Didn't think I was gonna be able to do this jam so I'm quite happy with how it turned out, but it is still a bit broken, things broken or missing;

1) The pause bar has no indicator (bad UX).

2) The fighting beans if ganking an enemy sometimes kill them and find a new enemy so quickly they damage that new enemy when out of range (need to fix).

3) No sound or audio. Ran out of time (again a bad UX).

4) No animations, I did toy with giving them arms and legs and I facial expressions, but time was a factor against me, I think it would have sold on the make me laugh theme.
